Pushing innovation from the lab to the real world through partnership
Recently, the Linde Pilot Reformer (LPR) went on stream in Pullach. This pilot plant is a collaborative effort, designed and delivered by Linde in close cooperation with strategic partners.
LPR is a tube reactor, designed to test new process technologies and thus help transition them from the lab to industry. In this case, the tube reactor is being used to pilot dry reforming. The really exciting thing about LPR is that it not only dramatically reduces energy consumption, it also consumes recycled carbon dioxide.
So how does it work?
View our video explaining how steam reforming works and why our new pilot plant is such a landmark development in this energy-intensive sector.
